Magic tier list
A good magic choice depends on the fight. Here's how we separate roll rarity from performance.
Performance ratings are pending
All seven magics are shown below. Ratings will be added when comparable PvE and PvP tests are available.
| Magic | Roll chance | PvE rating | PvP rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flame | 22% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Light | 22% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Wind | 20% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Lightning | 15% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Shadow | 15% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Beast | 5% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
| Time | 1% | Not yet rated | Not yet rated |
Ranking status
A tested S–D ranking is not available on this wiki yet. Every magic remains unranked until we have comparable evidence.
The reviewed beginner video calls Time the best because it has a 1% roll chance. That establishes neither damage nor matchup performance. We will not turn that claim into a ranked tier.
Compare the kit before chasing a tier
| Magic | Documented tools to inspect | A useful question before rerolling |
|---|---|---|
| Flame | Nearby binding, a grab, explosions and burn-related passives | Can you land the close-range opening safely? |
| Light | Rushes, an aerial sequence and healing options | Do you need mobility, self-recovery or an unlocked ally-healing function? |
| Wind | Launches, movement and displacement | Does your follow-up reach after the target moves? |
| Lightning | Aimed attacks and a transformation | Are the weather and transformation conditions active? |
| Shadow | Tethers, delayed orbs and a follow-up beam | Can you manage timing and spacing while the opponent responds? |
| Beast | Pursuit and close-range attack sequences | Does the approach leave you in range for another hit? |
| Time | Slow, suspension, movement and recent-damage recovery | Can your weapon and resources use the opening you create? |
This table reads the documented skills. It does not rank their damage or prove a winning matchup. The loadout examples show why an encounter, weapon and missing point allocation matter more than the word “best” in a video title.
What matters for PvE?
- Damage opportunity: how reliably attacks connect during the target’s vulnerable windows.
- Area coverage: whether skills help against groups or a single boss.
- Survival: recovery, movement, and the risk of being locked into an animation.
- Resource use: the tested cooldowns, mana costs, and downtime.
A boss with a specific damage window may reward different skills from an open-world group fight. Record the encounter before comparing results.
What matters for PvP?
- Reliability: startup, range, and how opponents can avoid or interrupt an attack.
- Combo options: what connects against a defending player under the tested conditions.
- Counterplay: matchup limitations and punishable recovery.
- Build requirements: mastery, traits, and equipment needed for the demonstrated result.
How a magic will earn a tier
Each published rating needs a named game version, separate PvE and PvP notes, test conditions, and examples of both strengths and weaknesses. Roll chance remains a separate field.
Until those comparisons are complete, use the magic library to check the listed roll pool and variant information. Choose around your playstyle and verified mechanics rather than the rarity alone.
